Playa de las Teresitas

Playa de las Teresitas is the easiest classic beach escape from Santa Cruz and one of the most family-friendly strands in Tenerife. Its imported golden sand, sheltered water and backdrop of the Anaga hills make it feel very different from the island’s darker volcanic beaches.
The setting is part of the appeal. Even though it is popular and well known, the beach still feels visually striking thanks to the mountains behind it and San Andres just beyond.

Choose Teresitas for a relaxed swim, a low-stress family beach day or an easy break from city sightseeing in Santa Cruz. It is one of the simplest places on the island for combining urban access with proper beach time.

This is a convenient, popular beach rather than a secret one. It works especially well when paired with San Andres for a meal or with an onward drive into Anaga.
