Remote beaches in Tenerife are usually remote for a reason: harder access, rougher sea, fewer facilities and a stronger sense of exposure to the Atlantic. If that is the experience you want, the island still delivers, especially away from the resort south.

• Playa de Benijo: One of the island’s most dramatic beaches, best for scenery, sunset and a wilder Anaga feel than for reliable swimming.
• Playa de Antequera: A stronger choice for people who really want the feeling of leaving the road network behind and committing to a quieter stretch of coast.
• El Bollullo: Remote enough to feel rewarding, but still manageable as part of a north-coast day based around Puerto de la Cruz.
• The coves and harder-to-reach corners around Punta de Teno and the northwest: Best approached as part of a broader scenic outing rather than as classic beach convenience.

These places are better for atmosphere than for amenities. Bring water, check sea conditions and treat access time as part of the experience, not an inconvenience.
